Rodgersia podophylla 'Bronze Form'

Description

We thank Bob Lilly for offering us a piece of this very fine plant from the NPA Perennial Border at the Bellevue Botanic Garden several years ago. It is a sensational seedling with jagged-edged leaflets emerging in glossy coppery tints and retaining this color until long after the pink-suffused blossoms appear on panicles above the foliage in early summer. Best in cool, moist locations, though the foliage will offer more intensity of color if grown under brighter conditions where added moisture is a requirement. Divisions from our garden plant.
