Description
We consider this the daintiest of all native ferns and a must for every collection. A bit of a chameleon, its early rising crosiers are earth colored, still hidden to all but the keen observer. Petioles then quickly rise, turn a light mid-green, and unfold into flat, fan-like fronds. Attractive from early spring into fall in moist sites.
