Description
This moderately vigorous, spreading evergreen species, to 10 in. in height, has lent its finely textured, long and narrow blades to our upper woodland for several years, with spikes to 8 in. of white, pink-tinged flowers in summer resulting in crops of pretty black-purple fruit. This thrives in a humus-rich, moist soil though will tolerate a shocking degree of dryness during the summer months. Superb as a low-maintenance, weed-suppressing groundcover where a verdant space is required.
