Description

A sterile, "mophead" form of this native American species, with light green leaves and lovely large white flowers opening from greenish heads. One of the best to grow in cold winter areas of the Midwest, where it thrives in semishaded situations, with adequate summer moisture. This is used to perfection in Christopher Lloyd's long border at Dixter, where it answers the flattened heads of a light Achillea planted in the foreground.
