[Hydrangea serrata 'Tiara']A very pretty selection of the Mountain Hydrangea, presenting rather large and full, rich saturated lilac lacecaps in quantity, more precocious than most in early summer, atop stems rising to 4 ft. or more. With flowers halfway between being typecast as a ôlacecapö or ômophead,ö and foliage that develops excellent red tints if grown in sun, and striking autumn tints of purple and red û this is a superb, seldom encountered smaller Hydrangea.
