Description
This is surely the daintiest of all native ferns and a must for every collection. A bit of a chameleon, its early rising earth-toned crosiers are perceptible only to the keen-eyed observer. Petioles then quickly rise, turning a light mid-green, before unfolding into flat, fan-like fronds. Attractive from early spring into fall in moist sites.
