Begonia grandis 'Heron's Pirouette'

Description

A magnificent performer at Fordhook Farm, this delicately lovely begonia displays an inflorescence of hot pink and lavender bicolor flowers hanging 12 inches long, twice that of the typical species. They pirouette gracefully down from the stems backed by shiny, triangular foliage. Later, the seed heads acquire striking pink tones. Best in partial shade and well-drained soil. An exclusive Heronswood introduction from seed collected in Japan.
