Description
Elegant evergreen foliage and fragrant flowers in spring. The palmately compound foliage of this vine is comprised of five elegantly narrow, evergreen leaves (three when younger). Large, plum-sized fruit result from early spring, fragrant, lavender flowers in small clusters along the stems, produced if more than one clone is grown in proximity of one another. We consider this vine to be among the best to plant in milder climates that can accommodate it. My collections from Sichuan Province at 8,000Æ altitude.
