Description

Add a larger than life exotic punch to your temperate garden. With leaves expanding to 8 feet in length on a plant that grows 15-20 feet in a single season, this will not go unnoticed. Even if cut to the ground during cold winters, this hardiest of banana species will return undeterred, reaching up to 20 feet high. In late summer, in warm climates, blossoms and small bananas will form on mature plants. Few plants offer such extravagant drama. In cold climates, protect it as you do cannas.
