Podocarpus lawrencii 'Purple King'

Description

A striking selection which has become my favorite of all the hardy Podocarps, with finely textured summer foliage of blue green that takes on a striking, purplish bronze cast as temperatures nosedive in winter, lending superb color to the garden on a year-round basis. Ultimately producing a shrub 3 ft. by 6 ft., in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil, ideally used as a tall groundcover or for permanent structure in the foundation or mixed border.
