Description

Though a remarkably odd species name, the plant itself is quite striking in early spring as it arises in a folial statement of brash, bright yellow; indeed one of the highlights of the mid-April border, and in good company with the spring bulbs, Euphorbia dulcis 'Chameleon' and the emerging foliage of Rheum palmatum 'Atrosanguineum'. The leaves fade to lime during the summer and the pinkish white flowers are, I'm afraid, nothing to write home about.
