Verbascum 'Rosie' PP14167

Description

The Dutch daughter of 'Jackie' (whose parents are Verbascum phoeniceum and V. dumulosum), this mullein bears spikes of light pink flowers with purplish red centers which bloom across a long period. More spreading and not so tall as other mulleins, 'Rosie' does have with the typical grayish green bold foliage rosette. Like other mulleins the texture, form, and color of her foliage offers contrast in the sunny border, and she is as easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soils of average fertility. Makes a good cut flower and tolerates drought very well once established.
