Hemerocallis 'Secured Borders'

Rest assured that, as far as we know, this daylily is not on any watch list issued by the U.S. Government, since its foliar borders are indeed secured with creamy white edges that are wide enough to be noticed by all who come upon them. In addition, can also claim a prominent horticultural bloodline: it's a descendent of the classic - and trustworthy - softly fragrant 'Hyperion.' Especially prominent in mid-spring as the variegated foliage emerges and expands, extending the seasonal display; the distinctive foliar borders do fade away over time but the spotlight-bright sunny yellow flowers carry on the show in midsummer. The foliar clumps are well-behaved and, even in flower, the entire plant attains a rather humble height.
