A definite "Wow!" generator in the spring landscape, this slower-growing, curious selection of Norway spruce bears eye-catching raspberry-red cones on its branch tips -- like a colorfully-flowering conifer! Just plain unique not only in color but in its overall habit, the terminal cone formation seems to cause its growth to spread more than the species so it becomes a broad pyramid with time. Like the species it is broadly adaptable from Canada to the north to as far south as Georgia, especially when provided average but well-drained soil and full sun.
