Perennial Plants
Long-lived perennial plants are the backbone of the flower garden. Some quickly provide texture and color to the early spring garden, while others burst into show in the heat of summer, followed by the harmonious addition of late summer and fall blooming specimens.
We are careful to provide premier choices in both tender perennials, which need loving protection in the colder zones, and hardy perennials, which will withstand even the coldest of winters. Our perennial plants have been carefully selected to offer you the most unusual forms of flower and leaf. Here at Heronswood, we are especially keen on Hellebores, Poppies, Geranium and unusual shade plants. Most are of rare providence, yet all have been exhaustingly garden-tested in several hardiness zones to ensure their virtuoso performances.
