Baptisia 'Solar Flare'

Description

The tall spikes, brilliant yellow at first, morph to deep orange as they mature. They create a lovely contrast from top to bottom, with the delicate bluish foliage and wiry stems of the species. Easily accommodated and long-lived in the sunny border, Baptisias ask only for well-drained soil, not too rich nor too heavy. Once established, tolerates drought well.
