Description
Meet the first solidly-yellow-leaf Bergenia, a luminous groundcover introduced to us by breeder Marco van Noort from the Netherlands. The bold, shiny evergreen foliage unfurls creamy yellow in spring, lightening to chartreuse through the height of summer. Inspring, tubular, waxy dark pink flowers add to the display; at year's end the leaves blush deep red. Performs well in the South. Plant in well-drained, even rocky, soil in a nook where winter sun and wind won't compromise evergreen quality.
