Description
This chance seedling of the Wood Aster appeared in the garden of Heronswood several years ago and after years of trialing its performance, we released it in 2003. Lax stems to 15"are cloaked with dark green leaves brightly splotched and streaked with white, accentuating further the flurry of small white flowers that appear in mid- to late summer. A superb ground covering species for dry, shaded sites, though will perform in full sun and a wide range of soils. This plant possesses a propensity to revert; remove any reverted shoots by pruning.
Ships in a 4 inch container. Approx. 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 3 7/8" (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
