Description
After up to seven years, during which time a large basal rosette of glossy, heart-shaped leaves is produced, a swan song of towering stems to 15 ft., topped in swooningly fragrant 10รถ lilies, is sent skyward, absorbing all of the enormous bulb that had formed; though young ones can be found attached to the main bulb for further entertainment in a few years. Though I truly hate to gloat, in the summer of 2002 we birthed a total of 98 flowering stems in our garden, most rising to 10 ft. or more. It was so fragrant. I nearly swooned.
