Clematis

Clematis plants are prolific bloomers that display huge, distinct flowers with that tell-tale sea-creature-like central array of anthers. While clematis are most often seen in rich blue, we also offer a splendid variety of pinks, blushes, cream and white, some with full pom-pom centers. The 'classic' clematis plants bloom in the height of summer, while those classified as 'rebloomers' offer encore after encore of flowers beginning in early summer and running right through until fall. Weave our rare varieties through shrubs or on a trellis or fence in partially shaded places; the plants will thrive in evenly moist soil that has been top-dressed with a generous blanket of mulch
