We have been wildly enthusiastic about this woodland American species, closely allied to the genus Podophyllum, ever since my first encounter. Handsome, large-lobed glossy green leaves to 18", on stems to 3 ft., are topped by clusters of white flowers in spring, transforming in late summer to incredible crops of blue fruit held on striking red stems. Exactly why this is not better known or more widely grown in its own back yard, I don't know. Shade or partial shade in relatively moist soil.
Ships in a 4 inch container. Approx. 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 3 7/8" (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
