A beautiful species from Emei Shan in the Yangzi region of China, with branched stems rising to 5 feet in height, carrying elegantly drooping, creamy bells in spring, followed by striking crops of blue-black fruit. We discovered it at 2500-3000 feet, growing amongst Aucuba omeiensis, Mahonia gracilipes and Mahonia confusa. Though it is likely semi-evergreen in warmer climates, this grouping thrives in our woodland where it acts totally deciduous.
Ships in a 4 inch container. Approx. 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 3 7/8" (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
