Description

These plants represent seedling-grown progeny from a selected English clone of this truly fantastic species, which is certainly as dramatic in regard to its foliage as its flowers. The narrow spears of foliage, to 8ö in length, emerge with mottled tones of burgundy and brown and remain handsomely spotted throughout the summer (in the coolness of the PNW). In late spring, large flowers in tones of yellows and butterscotch are carried on tall, upright panicles to 2 ft. or slightly more. As this is a seedling lot, there will be significant variation between individuals, although all have shown blossoms within this ôtypicalö range. For full sun or light shade in well-drained soil.
