Epimedium x rubrum

Description

The classic standby in American horticulture as far as epimediums go. Abundant, cheery, rose-red flowers on stems that reach to about a foot are followed by vigorous clumps of lovely red-margined leaves. Few mid-spring plants can compare to this when in fresh, unblemished foliage. Excellent combined with the fresh chartreuse growth of Milium effusum 'Aureum'.
