Description
This superb plant shines in late summer until mid-autumn with sturdy, upright and strikingly black-purple stems rising to 8 ft. or taller, carrying terminal heads of rich pink flowers. Full sun is best, in any soil. This has superseded the use of E. purpureum in our borders for its richly colored stems and sturdy habit of growth.
