Description
Also known as Daiswa polyphylla, from a remarkable genus of rare plants closely related to the Trillium. Utterly magical flowers composed of broad green sepals and thread-like golden petals sit atop handsome and elegant whorls of narrow leaves on stems to 18 inches. The resulting small seedlings serve as cross pollinators to one another, finally creating striking heads of scarlet-orange fruit in late summer. In our opinion among the most beautiful of fruiting plants. Originally collected in the Himalayas. Partial or full shade in moisture-retentive, rich soil.
