Description
One of the parents of the highly touted Polygonatum x hybridum, this is the only representative of the genus to occur in Eastern Europe. Robust clumps of stems to nearly 3 feet carry ovate foliage, while axillary clusters of 2-5 white, green-tipped tubular flowers appear in mid-spring, resulting later in crops of pretty blue fruit. Full sun or partial shade in humus-rich, evenly moist soil.
