Primula japonica 'Wanda'

Description

Soft purple-pink with yellow eye, Wanda's leaves open a bit bronzed before going solid green. With the Primrose's characteristic cold hardiness, 'Wanda' is the standard-bearer of the group of hybrids derived from Primula juliae a small brightly-flowered species discovered in Caucasian mountain forests in 1900 and P. vulgaris, a native of English meadows. Tolerates a considerable amount of shade while requiring moist soil.
