Trachystemon orientalis

Description

The dreamy, delicate panicles of lavender purple and white blossoms, resembling bursting alliums, flare from the luxuriant mounds of fuzzy, bright green foliage. We discovered enormous clumps of this rare and extraordinary species along high mountain streams in Northeast Turkey in the autumn of 2000. We were ecstatic to discover that it grew just as luxuriously in North America.
