Description

Don JacobsÆ fantastic collection from Emei Shan in Sichuan, with exquisite whorls of narrow and long purple-green foliage veined in greenish yellow, unlike any Impatiens we have known previously. Spreads to form sizable colonies over time, and virtually thrilling everyone who comes upon it in our rather dark woodland, in moderately moist, well-drained soil. Small orange-yellow flowers are produced in late summer, but this is considered solely a foliage plant here in our garden. We are greatly intrigued by the perennial Impatiens; stay tuned for new species we will be offering in the near future.
