Description
This choice, hard-to-find Chinese alpine slipper orchid is a close relative of our native Cypripedium reginae. Unlike reginae, the flower color of flavum varies from brilliant yellow, to very pale yellow, to yellowish green, sometimes with rust-colored spots or maroon blushes. Provide it with a location that reflects its woodland origins, providing moist but well-drained soil in a shaded location.
