Description
Linear, dark evergreen foliage borne in pairs along low-spreading horizontally planed stems, coated in early spring with fragrant axillary white flowers. Shade and drought tolerant, deserving of a wider audience for its sincere and loyal performance in dry shade or full sun. A superb shrub to 4 ft. x 6 ft. Previously offered as O. decorus; we thank Roy Lancaster for providing us with the cultivar name. This was a common component of the Picea orientalis/Fagus orientalis association in the Pontic Alps of NE Turkey.
